Rootrainers are the perfect start for nearly all plants and especially those that are sensitive to disturbance and require deep root runs.  Ideal for growing on of seeds, seedlings, plugs and cuttings.  Our recommendations for sizes and uses are general guidelines and are not fixed in stone.  Rootrainers are manufactured at our factory in the Scottish Borders.

The Sherwood is the rootrainer workhorse - suitable for nearly all plants, trees, shrubs, herbaceous, fruit and vegetables; especially those that have deep fast growing roots such as sweet peas, beans etc.

The Compact tray is smaller than the Rapid tray.  The cells (books) are held in their own slots allowing spacing out to give plants more room as they grow.  This tray is ideal for salads, herbs, bedding plants and cuttings.

 

The Rowplanter:

Packs comprise 2 rows (each 32 x 8 x 6,5cms plus clear propagating lid and instructions. Tray size is 36 x 21 x 6cms

The Rowplanter is the modern alternative to gutter planting and an entire row can be slid out with no root disturbance.  It provides half a metre' worth of planting and gives plants a head start.

 

All the above products are packaged for the Garden Trade with either a wrapper around the assembled product or in a mailing box dependent upon your requirements.  They can either individual tray packs or the ever popular multi tray packs.
