| Organic Delight and Rootrainers |
Many organic growers are promoting Rootrainers with great enthusiasm.
Organic gardening often carries a risk of plant disease and pest attack. Rootrainers play a major role in minimising this risk.

Strong, healthy, mature plant plugs minimise attacks by pests on young shoots and plants and the probability of attack by disease is considerably lessened.

The lack of root disturbance and the minimisation of growth check diminishes the period when plants are most at risk from attack.

Brassica growers claim they never suffer from club root. The truth is that they can rarely eliminate club root, but if the root system is strong enough it will resist it. Victorian gardeners used to prune brassica roots, and some even had long bottomless pots which enabled them to achieve similar results to Rootrainers.
One brassica grower claimed he had never suffered from white fly since he had used Rootrainers. Well, we can’t guarantee you will be free from white fly. All it means is that he has had healthier, stronger plants since he has used Rootrainers and they have proved much more resistant. You can’t ask for more than that!
