Vacuum forming and Thermoforming section

Ronaash Plastics utilises Vacuum forming and Thermoforming processes in manufacturing bespoke packaging products for customers.

Vacuum and thermoformed products are all around us and play a major part in our daily lives.

The vacuum forming process involves heating a plastic sheet until soft and then draping it over a mould.  A vacuum is appled, sucking the sheet into the mould.  The sheet is then ejected from the mould.

For detailed information about Vacuum forming, follow this link to the British Plastics Federation (BFP) website -  http://www.bpf.co.uk/bpfindustry/process_plastics_vacuum_forming.cfm

Thermoforming is similar to vacuum forming, but involves greater use of air pressure and plug assisted forming of the softened plastic sheet.
