There are are 4 different cell sizes available in the Rootrainer range and there are two different tray systems - The Original and the Compact. Rootrainers can be purchased in a variety of tray packs ranging from single tray packs up to twenty tray packs and if greater quantity is required the facility to purchase case lots is also offered by our Commercial Growers side of the business.

A single tray pack of Rannoch Rootrainers consists of a holding tray, 10 "books" (50 cells) and a clear propagating lid.
The Rannoch Rootrainer is a specialist product for producing excellent root systems. Ideal for hanging baskets and root crops such as onions, leeks, carrots and garlic.
A single tray pack of Sherwood Rootrainer pack consists of a holding tray, 8 books (32 cells) and clear propagating lid.

Rootrainer Spacers (for Rapid, Rannoch and Sherwood)
Spacers are used when a row or more of books is taken out of the tray to prevent the other books opening and collapsing. The use of spacers is ideal when your plants are getting bushy and need more room. Ideally the books which are removed can be placed into another tray and spacers used in the new tray as well. The spacers are only suitable for use with Rapid, Rannoch and Sherwood trays. Spacers are sold in sets of two. Spacers or dividers also enable you to sow fewer cells and so conserve compost.
