Rootrainers (often described as Root Trainers) are an excellent growing system for seeds, seedlings, plugs and cuttings. They are manufactured from recycled plastic and are also fully recyclable.
UNIQUE FEATURES
The Rootrainer system is made up of deep seed trays, divided into separate segments know as "books". They are unique because they open up like a book. This enables you to:
- Inspect the growing progress. When you open them you can see how well the root has established and check that there is sufficient moisture.
- To remove your plants easily, without any damage to their root system. This minimises the stress of planting out.
THE "ROOTRAINER"
Each unique hinged opening book is made up of four cells. The cell is what does the "root trainer" bit as it has internal grooves which encourage the roots to grow straight - this means no root curl and a stronger healthier plant which suffers no check when planted out.
ROOTRAINER PACKS
Each tray pack of Rootrainers comprises a set of "books", a holding tray and a propagating lid. Tne propagating lid is dual purpose - it can sit on top of the tray as a mini propagator to maintain moisture and warmth, and it can also be used as a soaking tray when placed underneath.
REUSABLE WITH SEPARATE COMPONENT PARTS
Rootrainer books are REUSABLE - we often hear from customers who have used the same set for 5 years and even sometimes longer, but the beauty of the whole Rootrainer system is that should a component part need replacing that part is available for purchase and the whole system does not have to be replaced.
