Original Rootrainers Seed Trays
Rootrainers are a growing system for seeds, seedlings, plugs and cuttings.
Used by amateurs, professional and competition growers alike, they are an infinitely superior propagation system offering many advantages over conventional plastic flower pots and cell trays including:
- Roots grow straight avoiding pot bound plants (more about root systems);
- Moisture content and roots can be inspected at any time;
- Young plants are easily removed without damage;
- Plants develop more quickly, giving the best possible start;

- The only modular cell system which allows plants to be spaced out without re-potting;

Once you have bought the complete system (books, rigid trays and lids) you do not need to, after some years of use, replace the whole system. We will supply you with as many books as you require with a minimum order quantity of 1 set of 8 books for the Original Rapid and Sherwood range and a minimum order quantity of 1 set of 10 books for the Original Rannoch and Fleet range. |

As with the books or inserts, if a lid or tray is damaged or needs to be replaced it is not necessary to buy the whole system. Individual lids and trays can be supplied as required. |

| Original Rootrainers: 2 Spacers |
|
Spacers are used when a row or more of books is taken out of the tray to prevent the other books opening and collapsing. The use of spacers is ideal when your plants are getting bushy and need more room. Ideally the books which are removed can be placed into another tray and spacers used in the new tray as well. The spacers are only suitable for use with Rapid, Rannoch and Sherwood trays. Spacers are sold in sets of two.
